Cody was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Cody’s parents are both educators and Cody spent some time living in Colorado and Thailand, before graduating from Truman high school in Independence, Missouri.
After graduating high school, Cody attended undergraduate at the University of Central Missouri. Cody majored in political science and received double minors in criminal justice and legal studies. During his time at the University of Central Missouri Cody participated in Greek Life and served on the executive board of his Fraternity.
Cody in graduate school immediately after receiving his bachelor’s degree. Cody attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he received his Juris Doctor and Master of the Arts in Political Science. While in law school, Cody served on the Honor Court, ensuring that the ethical standards of the law school program were followed by the student body.
Cody now lives in Dearborn, Missouri with his fiancé’, Diana. Cody can be found playing with his two dogs or tending to his large garden during the warm months.
