April is our Senior Paralegal and Executive Assistant. She was born and raised in Wathena, Kansas. April fomented her love for community activism during her criminal justice studies at Missouri Western State University. For over thirty years as a paralegal, she has strived for excellent client communication, honing a particularly compassionate approach to her clients at their most difficult times.
April has served on boards for the Samaritan Center and has served tenures for President, Vice-President and Officer for the local Women’s Democratic clubs. She was nominated for the Women’s Excellence Award through Volunteerism. April currently coaches a Special Olympic cheerleading squad, reads to elementary school kids via United Way, is on the 2025 United Way Allocation Committee, advocates for the unhoused in her community, and now serves on the board of Open Door Food Kitchen, a local food kitchen for the underprivileged.
April is a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time outside with her own dog and cat whenever she can. With the rest of her free time, she loves working out, reading and traveling.
